E&H vs. Averrett Scrimmage

It is still going on. I am watching the game and letting you know as much I can. If you want to know anthing, let me know.

Averrett starts the Full Go scrimmage. There ten plays they did not do much. May have gained 13 total yards.

E&H gets the ball. 3rd play, Daniel Booher (Soph. Tenn High) hooked up on a 40-50 yard touchdown to Johnathon Hawkins (Soph. Rural Retreat). At least I think it was Hawkins, both wearing practice gear.

Averrett gets the ball again and yet again, does very little.

E&H gets the ball. Good drive but stalls.

I heard that Sarge Reed (former coach at GC, Appy, RC and TS) is working with the defense at Averett. I don't know if that is the case or just a rumor.

Well, I left after the freshmen played their 3rd series. Emory & Henry's defense is ready. Averrett never scored the whole scrimmage in anything (Goalline, Pass Skeleton). Well, they did manage most xp's in he practice. All in all, i'd say E&H won by about 6 or 7 td's. If the offense keeps progession steady then I think the ODAC will be theirs! If UVA-Wise O teamed with E&H D then WHOA!

Sarge's son worked at Averett, but recently moved back to the area. Sarge still lives in the area as well.

Thats cool. I knew he moved down toward Church Hill a year ago or so, and was surprised to here he would have headed to Averett, because I didn't think his wife was doing well.
